Amazon Vs Flipkart Affiliate Program – Which is the best ?

October 4, 2015 by Nitin Maheta

Are you the one who is trying your best to figure out which is the best affiliate program, Amazon or Flipkart? If yes, then here I will compare the two and will try to help you for choosing the best. No doubts, that the e-commerce in India seen a rapid growth in the past few years, which was started with Flipkart and followed by others, like, Jabong, Myntra and many more. It is because of the fact that people in India have started shopping through online websites, which made affiliate marketing to grow at a tremendous pace. For instance, when it is about shopping for the latest gadgets, people look forward to Amazon or Flipkart. And this has become one of the major sources for Internet Marketers as well as for bloggers to earn money.

Earlier, Adsense was the only major source of earning, but now, we have Affiliate Marketing, which is on boom in India. Most of the bloggers are using their own affiliate marketing links for promoting the products from Amazon and Flipkart. Bloggers who don’t have a prior knowledge about Affiliate Marketing, then they have to use the affiliate link from the network whenever a person tries to buy a product online through the affiliate link, which earns you a commission. Obviously, there are few networks which do pay per registration, pay per lead and pay per click, but here, I will specifically talk about Pay Per Sale.

Being a blogger, I too work with different affiliate marketing networks, which is a part of my monetization technique. Every blogger including me register themselves with both Amazon and Flipkart for giving a try.

Amazon Affiliate Program

Amazon is the best among all the affiliate marketing websites because of their least drawbacks. A person can easily start by registering themselves over here. It will take through an approval process which is quite easy and simple by even just providing them a Facebook Fanpage too.

Amazon Affiliate Program

Pros and Cons

  • It helps in proper sorting of the earnings as well as the daily reports. It also orders the reports.
  • It only shows the earnings of the already delivered orders. This means that once after getting a commission in the account, they won’t deduct it in future.
  • Though at the beginning, the conversion rate was slightly less, but it is increasing with each passing day.

Flipkart Affiliate Program

No doubts in saying that Flipkart is the best and one of the leading e-commerce website in India, making sales in millions every day. The tracking of its affiliate program is a little weak as well as the affiliate system is loosely coded. The process of getting started with Flipkart Affiliate program is quite easy as well as straight forward because it just includes the registration without any approval process.

Flipkart Affiliate Program

Pros and Cons

  • The conversion rate is quite high because of its popularity among the shoppers.
  • It gives a good commission rate, especially on the gadgets.
  • The commissions might get deducted because of cancellations or back orders, which means that the earnings might go down.
  • It doesn’t offer the daily reports fro tracking rather they provide the reports weekly or monthly or quarterly.

The most booming way of earning big bucks for Internet marketers and bloggers is through affiliate marketing because blogging is successfully achieving hike with it. Numerous people are putting themselves into blogging to earn big bucks. While comparing Amazon vs Flipkart, the one which has a more structured network and is well sorted one is AMAZON. On the other hand, Flipkart do need little improvements in many aspects. Flipkart is not yet providing the bloggers and internet marketers with a clear and transparent report for their earnings, which makes it less trustworthy than Amazon.
