How to Block Websites With a Password

Step 1: Access Internet Options

Click on the Start button and go to Control Panel. From there, select Internet Options.

Step 2: Select Parental Controls

Once you’re in Internet Options, click on the Content tab on the top toolbar. From there, select Parental Controls. Click on Create a New User Account to set parental controls and block web content.

Step 3: Create a New Account

Enter the new account name and click Create an Account. If you’re creating an account for a child, enter their name.

Step 4: Enable Parental Controls

Under Parental Controls, select On, Enforce Current Settings. Click on Block Some Websites or Content and then click on Windows Vista Web Filter.

Step 5: Block Specific Websites

To block a specific website, click on Edit the Allow and Block List. Enter the website address into the space bar and click Block. Click OK to close.

Step 6: Set a Password

Restart the computer and click on the new user name icon. Set a password at the log on screen. From this point on, the password will be required to access the specific websites that are blocked.
