ASUS launches new ZenFone Max in India – Quick Review

From past few weeks, we had seen a lot of speculations and teasers of ASUS about their new product launch on 23rd May. The company even sent “soon-to-be-launched” ASUS product (already launched today) in a coded mystery box to the professional bloggers. The code has been released in the Live Event today by ASUS during the product launch and here we have the much awaited new ASUS ZenFone series smartphone, upgraded variant, ZenFone Max.

This smartphone seems to be one of the star products launched in the market because this device is guaranteed to have a long battery life with a portability to charge other devices. It will be available at an affordable price of 9,999 INR (2GB variant), 12,999 INR (3GB variant) and has stunningly good looks. It is a refreshed variant by ASUS which has the most powerful USP, which is the 5000 mAh battery. The company even came up with the changes in its internal specifications, especially the storage and the processor.

The new ASUS ZenFone Max smartphone is offered to the people in four colors variants, two being the standard black and white color and other two being the new vibrant ones, blue and orange. The ASUS #LiveUnplugged event has been used smartly by the company for announcing one of the most beautiful and leading Bollywood actress, SonakshiSinha as the brand ambassador in the country. But, it’s a different side of the story. So, coming back to the ZenFone Max new variant launched today which has got the same design as that of its predecessor, but it has got changes from inside.

What ZenFone Max Features?

The new ASUS ZenFone Max features IPS LCD display of 5.5-inch with 267ppi pixel density and 720p resolution. This smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and offers two RAM variants, 2GB, and 3GB. The internal storage of this smartphone has been upgraded to 32GB and also features a slot for a microSD card for the storage expansion. It ambles on the new Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and ZenUI. It is a dual-SIM smartphone which has got numerous pre-installed apps, including Google apps, Clean Master, Mini Movie, Amazon Kindle, ZenTalk, Puffin, ZenCircle, ASUS Mobile Manager, WebStorage, Share Link and much more. The ASUS ZenFone Max features a rear camera of 13 megapixels, records 1080p videos with a laser autofocus system, Dual-LED flash and front-facing camera of 5 megapixels.

Keeping everything aside, the major highlight of the ASUS ZenFone Max is its powerful 5000 mAh battery which is said to have a standby time of 38 days, the normal usage time of 3 days and heavy usage time of 1 day. One thing which is missing in this smartphone is the capability of quick and fast full-charge as it takes quite a while to charge fully. Also, the battery is non-removable, but it can be used as a power bank for charging other devices. The 2GB variant will be exclusively available on Flipkart at 9,999 INR while 3GB variant will be available in Snapdeal, Flipkart, and Amazon India at 12,999 INR.

Final Words

The ASUS ZenFone Max is the most affordable smartphone launched with the most powerful feature of 5000 mAh battery. Apart from its battery, this smartphone has got a good display with an above average camera. It is a lightweight smartphone which runs on Android Marshmallow and features ZenUI, a perfect combo which brings the best out of this smartphone
