These decisions not necessarily cause a negative impact, but can also turn out to be positive for relatives and friends. A divorce might turn the gear in favour of some people, while others get to suffer quietly.

The grass can be greener on the other side!

1. Sometimes letting go is better than holding on

It is not always necessary to stay where you have stayed for years. It is important to dedicate time and effort for any kind of relationship to work out but if things are turning out intoxicated beyond susception, the best decision is to leave. In an institution of marriage when two people live together for a good number of years, irrespective of their cultural backgrounds prior to marriage, they develop a sense of mutual respect, love, and care. But they should remember that “excess of everything turns a situation worse” which further intrudes one’s personal space and time. This eventually leads to intoxication between them and severe tension builds up.

Holding on to a brittle marriage might only impose more damage physically and emotionally, which can result in permanent damage to the people surrounding your life. There are certain negative vibes that can pollute the conjugal space of life between two individuals, and it is better to keep certain things in the past for the betterment of the present and the near future, and in such situations divorce turns out to be the only option.

2. Things don’t have to be 100% perfect always– don’t keep chasing

Often we tend to give in our 100% in an event but we turn out in failure. We are never taught to embrace and learn from failure, and how it must not be looked upon as shame but a mark of bravery. There are pros and cons to everything and similarly, not all marriages are meant to be perfect. Two people in a marriage may not have the same ideas, the same mindsets, the same personal beliefs and the same understanding of things.

A marriage works on a balancing model and while sometimes it doesn’t work out, it is absolutely fine. You don’t have to coexist with someone you don’t want to spend the rest of the life with, and no matter how much you chase relationships and people relationships that are meant to break, will break and the same goes for people, and this takes a form of divorce when the concerned institution is marriage.

3. Choosing happiness for oneself is not a selfish decision

It gets very difficult for parents to accept the fact that their children are getting divorced because they have never witnessed such a thing in their generation.

However, loving yourself comes first and for that to happen you must first choose yourself, your happiness and your right to live. Divorce invites us to live a whole new chapter of life and makes us learn from past mistakes. It teaches us the concept of self love along with providing a better sense of thinking after going making such a tough decision.

4. Life and people will always change, change is the only constant

Rightly said, change is the law of nature and we must accept and embrace change rather than restraining it right away. All of us have struggled changes, from bachelorette to marriage and marriage to divorce. From these changes, we’ve learned that it is just one phase of life and there are many more to come. It’s not difficult to understand that things change drastically after a divorce and there is a lot about people that you get to know after it. Going through a divorce is indeed a tiring process and can end up taking a toll on your mental and emotional stability. However, what it teaches you can never be taught by any books of the libraries.

It is an admitted fact that the separation from a person with whom you have spent nearly half of your entire life is a painful and a gruesome thing to do, but when things change they only do for good. These changes are going to open whole new possibilities in your life along with introducing new areas of success. You need to ensure that don’t let yourself get diverted from your goal because of getting separated from your partner.

5. Acceptance of yourself and everyone around

This is one rule you must learn in life with or without experiencing situations like divorce, and it may help you solve every problem that you have been facing or might face in life. No one is perfect, not even ourselves and hence we cannot expect our surrounding circumstances or people around to be the same. With the existence of good, there will always be evil, whether you like it or not. Thus, it is better to accept the circumstances and people rather than complaining and questioning about the same.

When a married couple faces issues in the relationship, it happens often because of their inability to accept instances and the transiency of each other. Divorce is such an event that involves a lot of planning and decision making because it not only separates two individuals but two families as well. You might feel low and lonely all the time with your mind being constantly filled with guilt and regrets but as they say, time heals everything, and it gradually does. You learn and you accept the situation and move on to newer and better things in life.

Life is the biggest teacher but for it to be the best, you must be a good learner. Divorce is not the end of the world, it is only the termination of a phase that you must bid adieu to and remain peaceful, because that’s what we live for, right?

Direct yourselves towards that lane wherever you find it.
